How to Request Data Deletion

Complete guide to deleting your data from SnapMarket

Step 1: Disconnect Social Media Accounts

Before requesting data deletion, disconnect your social media accounts:

  1. Log into your SnapMarket account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Connected Accounts
  3. Click "Disconnect" next to each connected Instagram and Facebook account
  4. Confirm the disconnection for each account

This ensures SnapMarket no longer has access to your social media accounts and stops all automated posting and data collection.

Step 2: Email Data Deletion Request

Send a data deletion request to our admin team:

Include your account email, business name, and a clear request for data deletion. We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email.

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove:

  • Your account profile and business information
  • All scheduled and published post data
  • Analytics data and performance reports
  • Connected social media account tokens and permissions
  • Billing information and payment history
  • Support tickets and communication history
  • All content drafts and templates
  • Team member access and collaboration data
Data Retention for Legal Purposes

Some data may be retained for legal or operational requirements:

  • Transaction records (up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes)
  • Anonymized usage analytics (no personal identifiers)
  • Data required for legal compliance or dispute resolution
  • Fraud prevention and security logs (anonymized)

This retained data cannot be linked back to your identity and is used only for the specified legal purposes.

Third-Party Platform Data

Please note that deleting your SnapMarket account does not automatically remove content you've posted to social media platforms. You should also:

  • Manually delete posts from Instagram and Facebook if desired
  • Revoke SnapMarket's access in each platform's app settings
  • Review each platform's own data deletion policies
  • Contact Meta directly for their data deletion procedures if needed
